I don’t know why, but I really woke up dreading today. I have been so bloody tired (I love using the word bloody because I can get away with it in this hemisphere without people thinking I am trying to be Madonna, you know…). Just SO. MUCH. TO. DO. But in the […]

Nerves are frayed. There has already been one major blow-up, one make-up and one pep talk. Every time we turn around dates are getting moved or conditions are changing.
We found out the quote to move the pets did not include deliver from the airport in Kansas. Just to get the […]

Rohan called me this morning from Sydney. He was granted his visa on the spot. This process, although costly, and highly annoying, has gone remarkably fast.
I am tempted to take back every negative thing I have said about this lovely immigration process in the past couple of months, but considering that my taxes […]
A lot of people around me are rrrrrrrrrreally busy. It seems like no one has time to breathe and I have had a lot of phone calls to various loved ones where for some reason I end up trying to talk them off of the proverbial ceiling. Like I have taken it upon […]

Your walking compadres thank you.

Camellias. I love their leaves, too - dark, glossy and perfectly shaped. I had them in my bridal bouquet.
It was a gorgeous day today. The breeze was warmer and we opened up all of the doors and windows. It feels like Spring.

Okay, does anyone think that the song “Can’t Stop” on Maroon 5’s latest sounds like “The Police”? Freaky. I could swear Sting was singing in places… Totally dig it.
And last, but definitely not least, my new favorite lately has been Sarah Bareilles. She has an incredible voice (reminds me a LOT […]

Occasionally, like most people, I have bad days. In the midst of any shred of self-pity, the inspiration that immediately knocks the sense back into my head is my friend Maggi. And when I think of her strength and her will, I feel like I have nothing to complain about. Quite simply, […]
We went to the Sister in Law’s house this weekend and babysit the kids so they could have some time to go to a cafe for a couple of hours and be human. Watching the kids was kind of fun. I am glad that we got to go home afterwards. Alone.
The Wookie […]
