In Which I Whine Yet Again About The Cold

I know I keep prattling on about how cold it is, but people, I had to get out a SPADE to out to get out of our driveway today. Not just a snow shovel, but a friggin spade. And then I had to use it again to get to the other side because the plows have been so busy. The mail pedestal for our neighborhood was encased on three sides. It’s literally across the street and down one house. It’ took me 20 minutes to get the January edition of ‘Art in America’, one Netflix, one insurance bill and a whole lot of junk mail. DElightful.
And just to add a little ambiance, here is a picture I took from two years ago – I wouldn’t dare take my camera outside because I am afraid the cold would do some damage. It might not, but I just don’t want to take any chances.
I actually got a great workout shoveling our driveway but I am already feeling the muscles that haven’t been used in a while make an appearance.
And I do think the sinus crap that I have been in denial about is getting the best of me. I have been commandeering the NyQuil in an effort to stave off making a visit to my doc. She is actually all kinds of awesome, but the less I see of any medical professional, the happier I am. I might try to make some chicken soup tomorrow to see if it will do its voodoo. I should call it Sataria Soup.

I hear you. I really, really do. Ive been under the weather this entire week and shoveling, shoveling, shoveling. Jas has been calling it ‘Driveway Wars’.
